JEROME β FATHER AND DAUGHTER KILLED
A heartbreaking loss in Jerome. Idaho State Police say a Sunday morning crash near US-93 claimed the lives of a Jerome father and his daughter, Jerome High School student Summer Gianna Bioando. In a Facebook post, Jerome School District shared the news with the school community, saying Gianna will be deeply missed. The district is asking students and staff to wear blue today in her memory.
CALDWELL β MEMORIAL RIDE CRASH
Idaho State Police are investigating a major crash on westbound I-84 near Caldwell, around 10th Avenue. The crash happened around 12:20 Saturday afternoon and involved seven vehicles and 25 motorcycles taking part in a Memorial Ride. About 15 people were taken to area hospitals. Westbound I-84 was blocked for about four hours.
LAVA HOT SPRINGS β FATAL ROLLOVER
A Montpelier man died in a rollover east of Lava Hot Springs last night. State Police say a minivan left Highway 30, overcorrected and overturned around 7. Another man wasnβt transported. The highway was blocked nearly 6 hours. The crash remains under investigation.
TWIN FALLS β HOUSE FIRE
No one was inside a Twin Falls home when fire broke out Friday morning on Bisbee Place. Firefighters responded around 6:15 and contained the flames to the house. Rock Creek crews and Magic Valley Paramedics assisted. The cause remains under investigation.
RUPERT β INSURANCE FRAUD SENTENCE
A Rupert man will serve 10 days in jail and 3 years of supervised probation for felony insurance fraud. The Idaho Department of Insurance says Justin Tate submitted a fake invoice for more than $10,600 after a house fire. He must also pay restitution and fines.

IDAHO β FOREST MANAGEMENT FUNDING
Idaho is getting $12.4 million in federal funding for forest management. State and federal officials signed 5 agreements covering work including thinning and wildfire recovery. Governor Brad Little says the partnership will help reduce wildfire risk and support rural communities.
WOOD RIVER VALLEY β TRAILING OF THE SHEEP
The Trailing of the Sheep Festival celebrates 30 years in the Wood River Valley. This Sunday at noon, 950 sheep will head down Ketchumβs Main Street, bound for Gooding. The 5-day festival also features sheepdog trials, cooking classes and ranching stories.

CSI MEN β FIVE-GOAL SHUTOUT
CSI swept Truckee Meadows in soccer Saturday in Jerome. The Golden Eagle men rolled to a 5β0 win, improving to 4β2β2. Rodrigo Julian Olmos scored twice in the opening 13 minutes. Victor Jaeger, Wisdom Herrera and Tarsio Almeida Sebastio added goals, while Pedro Moco Caridi made 2 saves in his first career start in goal.
CSI WOMEN β EARLY GOALS SECURE WIN
The CSI women struck just 15 seconds into their match, with Brielle Cooper scoring off an assist from Lily Lowe. Annie Layton added another early goal, and the Golden Eagles held on for a 2β1 victory.
CSI SOCCER β THURSDAY HOME MATCHES
Both teams host USU-Eastern Thursday. The women kick off at 1, followed by the men at 3:30. The men will look to avenge a 1β0 loss from September.
CSI VOLLEYBALL β ROAD WIN IN RENO
The 13th-ranked CSI volleyball team finished a strong road weekend with a 3β1 win over Truckee Meadows Saturday in Reno. The Golden Eagles took the match 25β17, 21β25, 25β16 and 25β12. Nana Lobzhanidze led with 13 kills, while Dalayni Brindley delivered 37 assists. CSI also served up 12 aces. The Golden Eagles improve to 3β1 in Scenic West play and return home Friday to face nationally ranked Snow College at 6 p.m.

BOISE STATE β FIRST PAC-12 WIN
Boise State has its first Pac-12 football win. The Broncos beat Utah State 37β18 Saturday on the Blue, improving to 4β1 overall and 1β0 in conference play. Maddux Madsen threw for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Dylan Riley ran for 93 yards and 2 scores. The defense added 6 sacks, and Jake Ripp returned an interception 21 yards for a touchdown. Boise State has now won 27 straight conference openers and 11 straight meetings with Utah State. Despite the victory, the Broncos slipped 1 spot to number 23 in Sundayβs AP poll. Next up is a trip to Fresno State this Saturday, with kickoff at 8:30 p.m. Mountain Time on the CW.

Idaho Stateβs 8-game winning streak is over after a late comeback fell short Saturday in Pocatello. Northern Arizona held off the Bengals 38β31 at ICCU Dome. Jordan Cooke threw for 385 yards and 3 touchdowns, with Julian Mason catching 2 fourth-quarter scores. ISU put up 17 points in the final quarter and cut the deficit to 7 with 26 seconds left, but the Lumberjacks recovered the final onside kick. The Bengals drop to 4β1 overall and 1β1 in Big Sky play. Wood threw for 315 yards, and Ryan Jezioro had a career day with 147 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Cruz Hepburn led the defense with 13 tackles as Idaho held the defending FCS champions scoreless over the final 13 minutes.

Idaho took the in-state womenβs soccer matchup, shutting out Idaho State 3β0 in Moscow. Halle Prinos-Grumbach scored just 48 seconds in, with Georgia Whitehead and Makenna Stuart adding goals before halftime. The Vandals outshot the Bengals 24β3 and improved to 7β2β3 overall. Idaho State goalkeeper Aliya Garrett tied her season high with 7 saves, but the Bengals fell to 2β6β3. Boise State womenβs soccer has a program-record 8-game winning streak after shutting out Gonzaga 3β0 Sunday. Madie Donovan broke a scoreless tie in the 56th minute, and Mia Lane added 2 late goals. Ava de Leest recorded her 7th shutout of the season as the Broncos improved to 10β1β1 overall and 2β0 in Pac-12 play. The victory also gave head coach Jim Thomas his 150th win at Boise State. ATHLETE PAY β SENATE APPROVES BILL
Big changes could be coming to college sports in Idaho. The Senate passed a bill that would let schools pay athletes up to forty-nine million dollars a year and require repeat transfers to sit out a season. Boise State and Idaho athletic directors welcome the transfer limits. The House still needs to act.
